The ME Program was excited to host our defence and industry partners in an interactive forum at the Mercure Williamtown on the 1st of February 2021.
In our first event for the year, the ME Program welcomed industries who have signed on as partners for the program and discussed upcoming events and activities for industry to engage with ME Program partner schools.
Participating industry heard from ME Program educator, Dave Bonzo (St Philip’s Christian College – Newcastle) on how industry engagement with schools can be beneficial for building students’ skills, knowledge, and confidence in STEM fields.
RDA Hunter’s Manager, Skilled Workforce Programs, Rick Evans was excited to host our industry partners at the forum and reconnect after a disjointed 2020.
“The opportunity to meet with our industry partners face-to-face for the first time in over 12 months in a COVID-safe format was a great chance for us to reconnect and provide information on our upcoming events and activities for 2021”, Rick said.
Industry partners present at the forum included BAE Systems, Boeing Defence Australia, Bohemia Interactive Simulations, Lockheed Martin Australia, Defence Force Recruiting, Ampcontrol, Varley Group, Defence NSW, Fighter World, Jacobs, Newcastle Airport, RAAF Base WLM and Training Services NSW.
